When Harry and Hermione go to Godric's Hollow, and they see Bathilda Bagshot, she turns into Nagini, because she was dead. I remember that from the book, but I was just watching the movie and when the snake attacks Harry he goes through a wall into a freshly painted room, with new looking items and a crib (the rest of the house is quite dingy) What is this supposed to be? His bedroom when he was a baby? A full explanation would be great because this really confuses me.In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1....?
It's not Harry's nursery, because the Potter's house was completely destroyed by Voldemort. The nursery in the film is simply the neighbor's house, as all of them are connected so walls will inevitably be shared between two of them.
I think this scene was added to show the contrast between the typical house in Godric's Hollow and Bathilda Bagshot's. She was supposedly growing senile in her old age, so her house would likely not be in the greatest of shape. Also, Yates has often sought to show contrasts through the films, so this would likely be something he'd do.
Oh, and reading your name has Goin' Back to Hogwarts stuck in my head!In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1....?
