Generally, the books come before the film and that's the case here; J.K.Rowling (is female) wrote the whole Harry Potter series and the films came out after wards.Normally if a book has 'copied' a film it tends to say 'based on the film...'Why is JK Rowling copying Harry Potter?
Did you really just ask that question? The first Harry Potter novel came out in the UK in (correct me if I'm wrong) 1997. Then it came out in the US in 1998. The first movie wasn't released until 2001. Finally, J.K Rowling is FEMALE!

That must be a breach of the movie's copyrights, he should not be allowed to sell these books.
