Is it illegal to watch pirated movies online?

No, I haven't downloaded any of the movie at all, but i saw a comment to a link of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, so I went to the website and their it was. Could i get into trouble if i watch the movie. (i won't be downloading it either)Is it illegal to watch pirated movies online?
if you burn it onto a disk and sell it yes its illegal but if your just watching its fine but be careful because there's a lot of viruses on that site
If you've navigated to a website that contains copyrighted material, you are in violation of US Code TITLE 18 %26gt; PART I %26gt; CHAPTER 50A %26gt; 搂 1091. The minimum sentence for this offense is 6 years in a federal prison.

Given how vigilantly the FBI and other law enforcement agencies are monitoring for piracy, you probably don't have long. Take this time to say goodbye to your family and friends, and explain to your kids that you'll be "taking a vacation".Is it illegal to watch pirated movies online?
You ARE downloading it. You cannot see anything online unless you download it to your computer. Streams download then partially remove the data, but traces still remain on your computer.

Oh, and yes, it's illegal. Riley is COMPLETELY wrong, the sale of the material has nothing to do with the legality (although it does make it more likely you'll be caught and prosecuted.
No you can not get in trouble if you are not actually downloading the flick. The people who have it posted would get in trouble not you. I would watch it and get a good nights sleep afterward. Is it illegal to watch pirated movies online?
Usually the punishment is handed out to the person distributing it. But if you don't like to take risks, don't do it just in case.
The police and FBI constantly monitor Internet traffic to detect people like you. If you want a knock at your door then go ahead and download more movies.
the punishment (definitely) will only apply to people who put it on the net, go ahead and watch ^u^
Harry Potter is stupid anyway, I wouldn't risk it
