Do you have to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 to understand part 2?

I want to see part 2 in theaters but I never saw part 1. I did however read the book halfway. Can someone tell me where part 1 ends? and would it be okay?Do you have to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 to understand part 2?
If you have seen Part 1, it will be much better for you to understand Part 2. The Part 2 picks up where Part 1 ends. You can refer to here for more information: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Reviews and the Movie Narrative ( http://video-sharing-hub.blogspot.com/20鈥?/a> ) Harry Potter Movie Series Review: Say Goodbye to Harry Potter? ( http://www.moyeamedia.com/blog/?p=1365 )
Part 1 ends when the trio have just escaped Malfoy manor. Dobby takes them to Shell Cottage (Bill and Fleur's house) and Dobby dies because Bellatrix had just stabbed him. Then it shows Voldemort take the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's grave. It would be easier to understand if you have seen all of the Harry Potter movies though (or read all the books). Either way, part 2 is going to be AMAZING!!!Do you have to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 to understand part 2?
it's best if u do, because there was a 2 hour movie that took place before part 2. and, u wouldnt want to be lost especially if something happened in the last movie and is referenced in the new one. plus, its almost finished!! best enjoy all the movies before the last one! watch it online if u dont wanna go to the theatres or buy it :P
if ye dont watch tha first part then you will be cinfused in the second part because some people die, and you will be like oh wheres so and so, if you dont see him he is proberly dead, and at the end of the movie ***** DIES , AND ***** **************** KILLS HIMDo you have to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 to understand part 2?
the thing is no one would know because none of us have seen the second part yet as it has not been released. I would assume that since you read the book part way you would understand it and not have to see the movie.
If you have read the book and remember it you may be able to watch the movie and understand it. The movie is some different the book (as always). I suggest you see the first part first.
I think you will be good if you read part 1 of the book. The end of part 1 is when voldemort opens dumbledoors coffin and collects his wand I believe.
If you've read the book, you'll be fine. The first part ends/the second one begins where Dobby dies and Voldemort steals the wand from Dumbledore's grave
If you have read the book, then you won't need to see part 1 to understand part 2.
No, I read all the books.
Probably. But why cut the movie in half like that? I guess they're trying to milk this thing for all it's worth.
