I wanted to go watch Harry Potter the latest movie Part 1 in IMAX, 'cause supposedly it's a very nice 3D experience, but I called and they told me it wasn't on 3D. So what would be the point of watching it in IMAX as opposed to a regular movie theatre? If Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows is NOT in 3D, then what would be the point of watching it on IMAX?
They often show movies at Imax that are not in 3d. " Were the Wild Things Are" was shown in Imax theaters and it never came out in 3d. People don't just go to Imax to see a major motion picture in 3d, they go because the like it to be on the larger screen.
The reason Harry Potter was not in 3d was because they did not have enough time to get the 3d conversion done before it was to be released, they just waited to late to do it. Part 2 next year will be in 3d because they have time to convert it to 3d.If Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows is NOT in 3D, then what would be the point of watching it on IMAX?
well i just watched it a few hours ago..
though some scenes would look good in 3D, its definitely worth watching in IMAX even without 3D.
And imax isn't really just about 3d, its so good because of the amazing detail of the video in the giant screen and sounds. and i think its better without 3d because it just usually ruins the movie experience for me..
