Hi. My fiancee and I live in Northeast PA. We have a 1 year old and don't get out much but we will have a sitter overnight this upcoming week so we wanted to get away for a night. We don't want to drive that far so it would have to be Pa or NY. We just want to get a room, walk around, go to a nice restaurant, maybe some coffee shops or something. If you have any specific ideas, please let me know. Although I am from PA, I haven't spent much time in NY or any bg city for that matter. i would love to...I'm just alilttle confused about what to do once there. I am up for some tourist things also.. like statue of liberty and things like that . any ideas are appreciated. thanks and have a nice day! From North east PA looking for a one night get-a-way?Drive down to the Lansdale train station, take the train into Suburban Station (16th %26amp; Market). Get a hotel room at Loews hotel in Philly (might be a little pricey). Visit the Art Museum, Comcast Center, Penns Landing (Delaware River area). Have dinner at any number of resturants, Fork, Cuba Libre, Buddakhan, or for more down to earth/bar food take a cab to Chickie %26amp; Pete's in South Philly, or just drive %26amp; park thru Loews Hotel. At the end, have drinks at Tir Na Nog, cool bar, 17th %26amp; Arch. From North east PA looking for a one night get-a-way?You need to pick a city first.
Philly or NY. One is super expensive and the other not so much. If you chose NY, you could always stay in jersey City. A little cheaper and just as easy to get around NY. Philadelphia has plenty to offer as well. From North east PA looking for a one night get-a-way?Check out the Inn Of the Dove in Cherry Hill NJ. The rooms have mini pools in them. You will never forget the night there.
