1 being best and #8 being worst please support why Here's what I think:
#1 - Chamber of secrets: it's absolutely the most create and the best storyline! The books good too. This film has a special place in my childhood loved everypart.. Well except little Ginny
#2 - deathly hallows part 2 - sooo sad and very amazing the action was insane. I didn't like the 19 years later..a bit corny
#3 - order of Phoenix - it was a brilliant movie I love the introduction of Luna and bellatrix!
#4 - deathly hallows part 1 - this movie was very nice and got me addicted again
#5 - goblet of fire - the book was good and so was the movie but the style of the movie was a bit off
#6 - sorcerers stone - it was a brilliant introduction but when I watch it now it seems a bit amateurish. Idk it was just different effect now I'm older
#7 - prisoner of azkaban - this is a tie with sorcerers stone. I liked it ok but I hated Michael gambon in this one. I missed old dumbledore
#8- half blood prince - the book was great and so was the video game but dear God this movie was soo boring. It was very informative tho. Without this film the deathly hallows wouldn't have been as good but dead God it gets boring at parts|||1. Chamber of secrets stuck close to the book, but they did not put my favorite part , when Harry scares Dudley with fake magic "Jiggery pokery" lol
2. Deathly hallows part two it was a beautiful end to the series wish the epilogue was better.
3. Sorcerers Stone it was good yes a little younger but it was amazing how they made the wizarding world come alive.
4.Deathly Hallows part 1 it was good I liked it,
5. The order of the phoenix there was a lot the I did not like about the movie but it was still good if you had not read the book.
6.This is where it gets hard Half Blood prince there is a lot missing but i do think its entertaining.
7. Goblet of Fire there was so much left out and it felt so rushed and small things they really did not need to change they did for example in the book the Wesley's and the Malfoy's sit near each other in good seats in the movie Draco boosts about having better seats cant the Wesley's catch a break?
8. Prisoner of azkaban the worst by far for me it was a nightmare the book was amazing one of my favs in the series but I can't watch the movie the acted was awful for 1 the story did not fellow well and there were stupid added scenes like the shrieking head on the night bus I hate it lol.
but I am glad I was able to rant and this is all just my opinion.|||You have your list all wrong. You have the movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron in #7.
It should be
1. Prison of Azkaban
And everything else in a tie for whatever.
Alfonso Cuaron made the best of the Harry Potter movies, gave it an interesting visual style (distinctive from the previous two), terrific composition and framing, and every director after him attempted unsuccessfully to recreate what he had accomplished.|||harry porter and deadly hallows.......because its awesome........|||1. Philosopher's Stone. It's a classic, it was the very beginning, and they stuck exactly to the book (almost) and got all the characters and scenes right. And the earlier films just FELT more like Harry Potter!
2. Chamber of Secrets. ^^Same reasons as above.
3. Prisoner of Azkaban. I think this one was really interesting and great and they got a lot of things right. Although I agree with you, I think Michael Gambon did a terrible job (not as bad as he was in GoF though) at playing Dumbledore!
4. Deathly Hallows Part 2. It was EPIC! I loved the battle of Hogwarts and it was a very emotional ending. But I wish they had focused less on Harry and the Dark Lord and showed a bit more of the other characters, and I hated how the Dark Lord and Bellatrix both, like, disintegrated when they died??
5. Deathly Hallows Part 1. Yes, it was somewhat overshadowed by DHP2, but this was still a great film. They did a great job of the unfolding of the war. It's hard to compare this to the other Harry Potter movies because DH wasn't mainly set at Hogwarts, so it has a different sort of feel to the others.
6. Order of the Phoenix. It was incredibly rushed, but I liked how this film was noticeably darker and had a different vibe to the previous ones, and there was some great acting in this one.
7. Half-blood Prince. It wasn't BAD, I just think it lacked a certain something, and there was just too much humour in this movie. It felt like a comedy! Sure, I don't mind some humour but it's hard to take it seriously with the amount of jokes in it.
8. Goblet of Fire. It was enjoyable enough, but they left out SO MUCH! I think they should have split this one into two like they did with Deathly Hallows. There was just too much going on. I will never forgive them for leaving out SPEW and the house elves, the game at the Quidditch World Cup, all the backstories...the list goes on!|||1 - Deathly Hallows part 2 - best action scenes out of the entire movie series
#2 - Half-Blood Prince - 2nd best action scenes
#3 - Order of the Phoenix - 3rd best action scenes
#4 - Chamber of Secrets - best Quidditch scenes
#5 - Goblet of Fire - just because
#6 - Prisoner of Azkaban - the time-traveling bit
#7 - Philosopher's Stone - was boring
#8 - Deathly Hallows part 1 - I could watch it through the first time, but all the times after that it was so goddamned boring I couldn't even make it halfway. Total snorefest.|||1: Prisoner of Azkaban- I think it followed the book really well and I love the Pre-Harry generation. I like reading about the Marauders, Snape, and Lily. Also, I never get bored. Every scene keep my attention. Also, I love how it's a semi-dark film but it has a happy ending for Harry. He gains a parental figure back through Sirius and gains an uncle like figure in Lupin. He grows his family just a little bit. POA isn't only my favorite Harry Potter movie, but my favorite movie in general :) Besides, the soundtrack was beautiful.
2: Deathly Hallows Part 2- There were some parts that were a bit disappointing because the book was so epic it had me in tears (lol), and there were a lot of things that went unexplained, but it was an amazing movie! It was filled with action, death, romance, tragedy, bravery, and pure epicness! I loved it. The Prince's Tale was done wonderfully and they payed tribute to Snape quite well. It was so sad, and Alan Rickman did a fantastic job.
3. Deathly Hallows Part 1- really good movie. I liked how they were pictured outside of Hogwarts. It had a documentary feel almost but it wasn't so noticeable you forget it was a movie, you know? I liked it a lot.
4. Goblet of Fire- Although I hate the boys' shaggy haircuts (haha), I really like this movie. It is a bit different than the others, but not too much. I liked that it was dark in some places (like the Riddle House dreams) and happy in others (The Yule Ball). It was also our first death (apart from Quirrel, but really? who counts him?) It was a bittersweet ending. Cedric's death shed light on what was to come and made everything much more serious. Also, Voldemort's rebirth/battle with Harry was exactly how I pictured it would be. There was a lot left out of this film but I believe they had to leave it out. They considered making GOF into 2 films as well because it's the longest book.
5. Chamber of Secrets- You're right. It has a really great plotline. The kids are still cute (haha) and we meet some new friends and villains such as Dobby and Lucius Malfoy. The only problem I have with this film and the first one is that the kids acting skills still need a little improvement. There are times where it's noticeable. But in the 2nd they get better than the first but it's still a really great movie.
6. Sorcere's/Philosopher's Stone- Remember the movie slogan? "The Magic Begins". I loved that. To think that the last movie's slogan was "It All Ends," is really sad. Harry is introduced to this wonderful world and in a way, so are we. I still remember when my dad and I saw it for the first time. I was in Kindergarten :)
7. Order of the Phoenix- I really loved this movie too. The bits with Sirius are heartbreaking just because I know what's going to happen to him. I didn't like how they changed the dementors or how they made grawp. Umbridge makes me mad (lol) but that's good. She's supposed to. I wish they would have done Snape's memory a little bit better. They should have had Snape call Lily a mudblood but they didn't and as we know now, that is a very important part of their story and it explains why their friendship ended. Overall I loved the movie though. I like the Ministry (even though it was better in the book) and I LOVE Bellatrix. She's my second favorite character after Hermione. :)
8. Half Blood Prince- Don't get me wrong, I still love this movie. Speacially the last half hour or so. The cave was really cool and Dumbledore's death/Snape and Harry's confrontation was really sad, intense, and done very well (although I missed the battle that was in the book) and Bellatrix lighting fire to Hagrid's hut always makes me laugh, I can't help it. Also, Tom Felton played Draco Malfoy extremely well. He did a wonderful job. As for the rest of the movie, it was good but did get extremely boring in some parts. I remember the cast and crew saying it was going to be funnier than the other movies. It's not supposed to be funny at all. It's supposed to be a dark film with bits of humour. Not a comedy with bits of darkness. They over did it with the teen romance/angst. I got really sick of it at some points. I also think Harry and Ginny;s relationship fell flat. I think they cast Slughorn wrong and made him look kind of stupid... I love this movie, don't get me wrong. But I think it's my least favorite of the Potter films because they, even though I'm very flexible %26amp; understand they can't match the book and movie exactly, they strayed too far from the book for my comfort. They actually left out scenes from the book and added scenes that were never in the book! For example the Weasley's house burning down. They tried to make it into a romantic comedy thing to make it funnier and it really wasn't. It's not supposed to be. The only things I laughed at really had nothing to do with the romance and had everything to do with Bellatrix and Mclaggan vommiting on Snape's shoes. Now that was funny. :)|||Harry Potter and the
#8 Deathly Hallows Part 1: it wasn't so epic, like it didn't have enough awesome action adventure scenes
#7 Chamber Of Secrets: I didn't have enough room for this in the top 4, but i like the chamber with a snake
#6 Prizoner Of Azkaban: Sirius Black is in it
#5 Philosophers Stone: it has the origins of Harry going to Hogwarts + we see the face of Voldemort
#4 Order Of The Phoenix: Really good effects and story
#3 Half Blood Prince: Its just soo good and sad (Dumbeldore's Death)
#2 Goblet Of Fire: VOLDEMORT VS HARRY in battle (amazing)
#1 Deathly Hallows Part 2: EPIC EPIC FIRE AND BATTLE AND VOLDEMORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
