I have a RCA 5.1 Home Theater System I had for a while and it recently started cutting out low sounds, I started noticing this from watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, the sound has to be fairly loud and the people has to be talking loud as well in order to hear something and it does go back to cutting out. I have tried it on both my blu-ray player and computer and both does the same thing, it now does it when listening to music. Any help would be appreciated.Home Theater System Started Muting Out Low Sounds?
I have similar problems in both my car stereo and my home stereo.
This has two primary causes:
%26gt; Deteriorating electrolytic coupling capacitors (in analog audio circuits only, not in digital ones)
%26gt; Bad or oxidized connections or switches
Normally, it affects each channel separately, but in the case of your system,
it seems to be happening in most or all channels simultaneously.
That makes me think your system may have a different problem.
I wish I had some idea of what it could be.
A thorough investigation will be needed, probably best started by having
a highly qualified technician check the system where and as it is now.
