I am currently re-reading the harry potter books to prepare for the final movie installment of the series. I was wondering when I should re-watch the movies. My options are after I read each book, ex. when I finish reading the sorcerers stone I watch the movie then read the chamber of secrets then watch that movie, etc. I could also read all the books then like, a week before I go see part 1 of deathly hallows re-watch all the movies. Finally, I could wait until a week or so before part 2 comes out to re-watch all the movies, only i probably won't have deathly hallows part 1 on dvd by that time. Your opinion or any other suggestion?Harry Potter question?
Umm maybe read the book then watch the movie then read another book and watch that movie. If you do it that way youll be able to compare the book and the movie and see the differences and stuff. It really doesnt matter.
if i want to like the movie, then i would watch the last movie before reading the last book.
If i dont want to like the movie, then i would read the book then watch the movie.
I don't like the new director =/ he just stuffed so many things from the book imho.Harry Potter question?
I compare notes, movie first then read the books. then re-watch the movie.
Whenever you want to.
You are taking this waaaay to seriously.Harry Potter question?
Having re-read the series several times, I would recommend just reading the books to prepare for the last movies. I say this because most of the movies swayed from the books (sometimes just too much) and ended up really leaving out a lot of story since they were 'side-plots' and not germane to the main story or just added cost without adding to the story itself. The books, however, tell it all (duh, I guess) and will really fill you in on where the characters are by the opening credits of Deathly Hallows, Part 1. I don't know how fast you read so when you should start would be up to you. Book 1 can be read in an afternoon, book 2 about the same, maybe split it over a day or two..etc... Try to be done a few days before the opening. If it were me though, I would skip the first 4 books, and just read OOTP, HBP and DH before the movie, then re-read DH before part 2. Same goes for movies as well.
May the Phoenix be with you....wait.....that doesn't sound right.......
