I saw this movie late one night but can't remember the name?

I was having a sleepless night, flipping through channels and stopped on this movie I now cannot remember the name of. It's about a guy who sees a monster killing someone in a an alley. The monster lets him live if he promises not to tell anyone ever. The guy agrees and the monster lets him go free. The guy is an artist I think, and he meets a woman they fall in love and so on. One day the girl finds drawings of the monster and asks him what they are. The guy tells her about the monster and she turns out to be the monster and kills him. Does anyone know what it's called?I saw this movie late one night but can't remember the name?Tales From the Darkside the Movie, grew up on this. I used to watch the series as a young boy (wow, I'm officially old - late twenties).
